My Chicago Summer Bucket List

I went on a run along the lake front the other day, and the energy I felt from being around so many people is indescribable. EVERYONE was in a good mood. After my run I relaxed on my rooftop, and as I was looking out at the city skyline watching the sky turn to dusk, I knew in that moment that absolutely nothing compares to Chicago in the summer time.

I was thinking of all that I want to do this summer: from finding new cute coffee shops to the best patios to new places I’ve never been before! Whether you are looking to visit Chicago this summer or you live here and are looking for something new and fun, check out a few places on my bucket list, and let me know what you think!

Coffee at Were Wolf Coffee Bar: The coffee seriously looks too pretty to drink (of course I’ll drink it..) but I can’t wait to try this gem in Lincoln Park. The coffee has actual edible glitter in it and beautiful flowers. ~Chug some glitter make it rain~

Old Grounds Social Chicago: Another Lincoln Park spot I just learned about. Some of the best memories I have of summer is playing games with friends on a patio, and this sounds like just the spot!

Sailing on the Lake: I’ve sailed on Lake Michigan quite a bit the last few summers, and I absolutely love it! I usually find great deals on Gilt City for my friends and I to do! Even though I’ve done it before, it’s always a must to sail on Lake Michigan!

Gideon’s Sweet: I was so excited when I came across how colorful and divine the cocktails look at Gideon’s Sweet. There are so many restaurants in West Loop but this funky new spot is sure to be a hit o Randolph.

Garfield Park Conservatory: I have talked about going to Garfield Park Conservatory and have yet to check it off my list so this summer, I WILL go! The photos I see on Instagram are beautiful and it’s perfect to do with #bae, friends and family.

West Loop Farmer’s Market: One of the last few markets I have yet to stop by, and I hear they have the prettiest flowers so I am dying to go!

Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier: Channeling my inner kiddo, you can never go wrong with cotton candy and a Ferris Wheel ride. I am only a ten minute walk from Navy Pier so.. Yolo anyone?

Let me know what makes YOU excited for #summertimeCHI. It’s the season we have all been waiting for, and no doubt it’s going to be an incredible summer with all of Chicago’s street festivals, markets and Lollapalooza! Also check out my other post about my Chicago summer favorites!

XO.
