Life Updates

This last month has been quite the whirlwind in my life! From moving apartments to getting Lex and the City up and running to even a new job! And in the midst of all of this happening, making sure I get my workouts in at the gym and catch up with friends.

First off, thank you for following along on all my life journeys! A few people have asked me, “why the name, Lex and the City?” and I truly mean it when I say it is based off of my love for a big city and everything that comes along with it. I have always had an interest in style and adventure, and fitness has become such apart of my daily routine along with my public relations career, I feel like I can’t just write about one thing. With that, I hope I can relate to you through a common interest, and that my posts inspire you to try something new, go on an adventure, or try out a new style. Whatever it may be, I appreciate you following along. A new blog, new apartment and new job means new adventures to write about; so without further due, here’s what’s new!

New Blog! I thought why not start from the ground up and try this blogging life for myself?! To the lovely person who thought Lex and the City was a witty name and took the domain name first, touché. For now, we are going with the all around original name, lexiholden.com. Fear not: Lex and the City will still live on! Make sure to leave your email and subscribe to my blog to read my latest posts!

New Apartment! Bill and I moved to Streeterville and at first I was a tad skeptical but you guys, I LOVE it. We have a view of the city and the lake from our apartment and the roof deck has 360 degree views! Not to mention I can walk to work (see ya, Ventra card) and I am (too close) to Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Nordies. Do you think I like it so far? Yes! And I am excited to have my friends over for a housewarming party in the near future.. more apartment decorating posts to come :).

New Job! Still keeping it real with public relations and loving agency life and all of its quirks. But cheers to new adventures right?! I am very excited to take on a new role at a public relations agency in the city. There is such a great feeling of excitement at this agency- I can’t wait to see what it has in store.

And after all of these updates, I thought of a few tips to self as I begin my own blogging path, in a new home, and a new job: Write honestly and respectfully, be thankful, and give 200% in anything you do.
